Home  Security Services Overview  Tripwire is a tool that checks to see what has changed on your server. It monitors key attributes of files that should not change; including binary signature, size, expected change of size, etc. The software is built to detect intrusions. Tripwire builds a database of checksums of critical (and user-defined) files. When it is run, it checks the list of the file sizes, altered dates, and the files themselves against what it has in its database. If a hacker has compromised any one of those files, Tripwire alerts the administrator monitoring the system that a hacker is in the process of trying to compromise the server. It ends up saving the server and its data. This can be included in our Full Service package or purchased separately. If ordering with a Full Service package, please choose a package which ends in "Full Service" to avoid being charged our normal rate for the installation/monitoring.
